On October 26 in the RA National Assembly Park the event "Fair-festival
of the Pupils' Entrepreneurial Companies" being implemented on the
margins of the programme "Entrepreneurial and Civil Education for
the Youth" took place, which was dedicated to the 20th anniversary
of the RA Independence and was carried out within the framework of
the programme "Open Doors" initiated by Hovik Abrahamyan, RA National
Assembly Speaker, by the financial aid of the USAID and the support
of the "Junior Achievements of Armenia" organization.
Representatives of the best pupils' companies from more than 30
senior schools of Yerevan and all marzes of the republic presented
their productions. Part of the accumulated fund will be directed
to the implementation of the different charitable undertakings on
entrepreneurial and corporative civil responsibility.
Let's note that the Fair-Festival is an educational programme, through
which the pupils have an opportunity to present the productions
of their entrepreneurial companies to the consumers of wide circle
and to show the entrepreneurial skills and knowledge that they have
obtained on the margins of the programme "Entrepreneurial and Civil
Education for the Youth."
The programme pays special attention to the practical education on
entrepreneurship by establishing "mini companies" via pupils' efforts
and imitating the activity of a real business company, carrying out
small scale economic activity. The pupils also get acquainted with
the formation of financial, administrative, accounting documents and
the main principles of the corporative civil responsibility of the
formed new business culture. In the conviction of those responsible
for the programme, due to the programme the pupils get trained for
the teamwork and become more confident.
Armenuhi Hovhannisyan, Head of the "Junior Achievements of Armenia"
organization, has noted that the aim of the programme being implemented
by them is to provide the pupils of the senior schools with stable
and rich economic knowledge, develop their entrepreneurial skills
and capability to work.
