    VIVACELL-MTS GENERAL MANAGER RALPH YIRIKIAN MET WITH THE STUDENTS OF THE ARMENIAN-RUSSIAN SLAVONIC UNIVERSITY

    VivaCell-MTS continues implementing the series of public lectures
    entitled ~SVivaCell-MTS ~V A Business with a Mission~T at Armenia~Rs high
    educational institutions. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed
    between the Company and the University:

    VivaCell-MTS, a subsidiary of ~SMobile TeleSystems~T OJSC, informs that
    its General Manager Ralph Yirikian was hosted by the Armenian-Russian
    Slavonic University, met with the students and the faculty, and
    presented on the Company~Rs operational experience, managerial culture
    and Corporate Responsibility.

    Ralph Yirikian spoke about VivaCell-MTS~R successful strategy of
    business development, technical development of the network, human
    resources, marketing strategy and corporate social responsibility
    agenda, and answered numerous questions of the students.

    ~SYou are now about to enter the real world after your University
    education and we are here today to add experience to your knowledge
    for you to better equipped. We are now living in a knowledge economy
    where technologies and their role are increasing rapidly. And as
    Armenia~Rs leading mobile operator, we have to invest in high
    educational institutions by sharing our experience~T, - said
    VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian opening up the lecture.

    In his one-hour lecture followed by a question and answer session,
    Ralph Yirikian introduced to the students the market vision of the
    Company and the dynamics of the Company~Rs development. Among the major
    topics of the lecture were the role of continuous innovations in the
    overall efficiency of the Company, including its state-of-the-art
    network and end products and services used by the customer. Aspects of
    market competition, effective marketing and network implementation
    strategies were also covered in the lecture.

    A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the University and
    VivaCell MTS to establish a new cooperation. The major directions of
    mutual cooperation outlined in the Memorandum, are the following:
    organization of master~Rs thesis internship for graduate students in
    VivaCell-MTS, organization of practical lectures for students
    delivered by the respective specialists of the Company, implementation
    of joint scientific research, master~Rs thesis research and curriculum
    development projects jointly with the faculty, involvement of the
    Company~Rs specialists as Master~Rs thesis supervisors, etc. In
    addition, according to the Memorandum, the universities~R
    high-performing students will be given an opportunity to get specialty
    internship in specific areas such as commercial law, finance and
    accounting, marketing and sales, information technologies, customer
    service, etc.
