POLITICAL EXPERT: ARMENIAN FOREIGN MINISTRY REMINDS OF PROTOCOL CONTROL

Armenian Foreign Ministry reminds us of the protocol control which
does almost nothing, political expert Ervand Bozoyan said at today's
press-conference when commenting on the election of Azerbaijan a
non-permanent member of UN Security Council.
"We have got an impression that Foreign Ministry was established to
receive foreign guests. The government is blamed for that, as it does
not put goals for its subsidiaries and departments", - he said.
He does not doubt that from now on Azerbaijan will use the platform
of the UN Security Council to impose pressure upon the OSCE Minsk
Group on Karabakh settlement. Nevertheless, the expert thinks that
Baku's attempts to extend the format of the Karabakh talks will fail
as the world community will not support it.
He said that Azerbaijan has done the great amount of the behind scenes
work in UN, using many levers. As for supporting of Azerbaijan by the
USA and Russia, I think that understanding that Azerbaijan is gaining
success, they did not want to mar relations with it, the expert said.
