MILITARY PROSECUTOR PROMISES FULL DISCLOSURE OF DECEASED SOLDIER'S CASE

Armenia's Military Prosecutor Gevorg Kostanyan says the investigation
into the death of Aghasi Abrahamyan, an Armenian conscript who
served in Nagorno Karabakh, will soon lead to a full disclosure of
the incident.
"The investigation continues, and I think we'll have a full picture
in the near future," he told Tert.am from Karabakh.
Abrahamyan, 18, was conscripted to Nagorno Karabakh from Yerevan. He
was hospitalized with serious injuries on August 26 and died an
hour later. The soldier was reportedly unconscious when taken to a
military hospital.
To clarify the circumstances of the incident Kostanyan and the head
of the Defense Ministry's Investigative Department, Armen Harutyunyan,
left for Nagorno Karabakh last week.
Later, a soldier and an officer of the military unit were reported
to have been detained in this connection.
