Azerbaijan will not abandon the negotiations to resolve the
Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Azerbaijani Foreign
Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said.
"I have no information about the next meeting of the Armenian and
Azerbaijani Presidents," minister said. "I got this information from
the press. I can confirm that Azerbaijan is ready to continue talks
over Nagorno-Karabakh."
He said that much has been done in the peace process up to now.
"I do not want anyone to deal with propaganda, saying that Azerbaijan
abandons the negotiation process," Mammadyarov said. "The conflict must
be resolved in a phased manner, on the basis of the Madrid Principles."
Minister expressed confidence that the time will come when the Armenian
troops withdraw from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan.
