YEREVAN. - About 50 Armenian policemen will serve in new positions,
said state Police Service Chief Alik Sargsyan to a press conference
on Thursday.
Sargsyan said that the age of certain policemen is close to retirement
and "the rest suffer from alimentary obesity, their appearance does
not correspond to the image of Armenian police."
"If they put on weight and grow shapeless, they'd rather stay in the
offices than put up for a show," stressed Sargsyan.
He added that he respects the long-term work of his employees that
is why he does not dismiss them.
