NEITHER ARMENIA AND KARABAKH, NOR AZERBAIJAN WILL GAIN FROM FROZEN CONFLICT - EXPERT

YEREVAN. - Neither Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, nor Azerbaijan gain
from the frozen conflict, whereas current status quo is pretty much
advantageous for OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs (USA, Russia and France),
said the director of Caucasus Institute Aleksandr Iskandaryan to a
press conference on Thursday.
Iskandaryan did not rule out the possibility of increase of Russia~Rs
influence in Minsk Group but mentioned that Russia is the best choice
for South Caucasus.
The expert ruled it advantageous for Karabakh to get involved in
negotiation process in any format.
~SIn this respect, I would not say they have done a splendid work,~T
he said.
Until 1998 Nagorno-Karabakh has been a full-fledged party in the
negation process.
