"Armenia showed during the two-year-long Armenian-Turkish process that
it is committed to its principles, while Turkey, which had adopted
the policy of "zero problem with neighbors," has further aggravated
its relations with neighbors. Moreover, it has aggravated relations
with the European Union and the United States," President of the
Noravank Foundation Gagik Harutyunyan told a press conference today.
Thus, Armenia can come out of the process with a positive political
capital. However, the same cannot be said about our western neighbor,
he said.
The Armenian protocols have not been put on the agenda of the newly
formed Turkish Parliament. Does this mean that Turkey does not take
the process serious? "This evidences that Turkey is not ready to
continue the process," Gagik Harutyunyan said.
According to the President of the Noravank Foundation, progress in
the Armenian-Turkish process can be expected only after registering
progress in the Karabakh issue.
