YEREVAN, September 2. /ARKA/. Armenia's State Commission for Protection
of Economic Competition has launched administrative proceedings
against 16 economic entities, the commission's press office reported
on Thursday.
The commission toured trade outlets in provinces on July 26 and 27.
These inspections revealed dozens of breaches.
In particular, it was found out that consumers' rights were infringed
in Kotayk and Armavir provinces.
Hens, confectionary, honey, dairy products and some household goods
here were without expiration dates, marking in Armenian and information
about manufacturers.
The commission demanded from economic entities information about
suppliers and received it later.
After that the commission launched administrative proceedings against
16 wrongdoers.
It also sent all the information about the revealed illegalities to
the agriculture ministry's food safety agency.
