President Sargsyan participated in the CIS jubilee summit

President Serzh Sargsyan had a meeting with the President of
Tajikistan, Emmomali Rahmon. The Presidents of Armenia and Tajikistan
highly appreciated the relations between the two countries and the
cooperation launched in different spheres. During the meeting
reference was made to issues of deepening the cooperation in bilateral
format, as well as within the framework of international
organizations, particularly the CIS.
After the meeting with the President of Tajikistan, Serzh Sargsyan
participated in the summit dedicated to the 20th anniversary of
formation of the Commonwealth of Independent States. Presidents of
eight countries of the CIS - Armenia, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan,
Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Moldova and Tajikistan - participated in the
summit.
The summit was followed by a meeting with the participation of the
delegations. More than ten questions related to the cooperation
between member states in the fields of security, migration, culture
and others were discussed. The report on the `Twenty-year activity and
the perspectives of the CIS' was presented.
The Heads of State exchanged views on urgent international issues.
