OPPOSITION ALLIANCE TO LEAD PAN-NATIONAL REBELLION - FORMER POLITICIAN

With the dialogue between the opposition Armenian National Congress
(ANC) and the ruling coalition being suspended, the people in Armenia
awaiting an imminent rebellion, a former politician has said.
At a news conference on Monday, Ashot Manucharyan, a former member of
Karabakh Committee, said the ANC has now neither time nor resources
for another initiative.
"It will either lead the pan-national rebellion or disappear from
the political arena," he said, adding that the opposition alliance
would naturally choose the former option.
Manucharyan added that a real rebellion, whenever it breaks out,
would provoke greater rage in the regions, immediately changing the
situation in the country.
Asked about a possible timeframe for such developments, he did not
mention a specific date. He noted however that a rage protest may
break out later in September.
