ARMENIA'S DEFENSE MINISTER 'FIRST AND LAST TO BLAME' FOR ARMY MURDERS - ANC REP

Such an army must not exist in the region, and the murderers must
be brought to justice, Gurgen Yeghiazaryan, former vice-chief of
Armenia's National Security Service and member of the opposition
Armenian National Congress (ANC), told journalists, as he commented
on the murder of soldier Aghasi Abrahamyan.
He stressed the need for protecting soldiers. "A soldiers' death
in peacetime can by no means be justified," Yeghiazaryan said. He
accused Armenia's minister of defense of the army murders. "The
defense minister is the first and the last to blame because he has
failed to introduced proper order in the army," he said.
