IN LEBANON RA DIASPORA MINISTER MEETS ARMENIAN REPORTERS OF MIDDLE EAST

RA Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan met reporters and heads of the
Armenian mass media of Middle East at the RA Embassy to Lebanon.
An official from the press and PR department of the RA Diaspora
Ministry told Armenpress that the meeting was aimed at making the
cooperation between Armenian and Diasporan mass media more active.
RA Ambassador to Lebanon Ashot Kocharyan said he welcomes the
minister's visit to Lebanon and mentioned that it is aimed at following
some programs in their process of implementation. Minister Hranush
Hakobyan emphasized the importance of the 5th All-Armenian conference,
highlighted all the difficulties the Diasporan mass media face and
the ways of solving those issues. As to the cooperation with the
Diasporan mass media, the minister said it has become quite positive
and efficient, as mutual trust is available and it opens new horizons
for cooperation.
Shahan Gantaharyan, co-chair of the Mass Media Coordination Council,
read the resolution of the conference. Afterwards the minister answered
queries by reporters.
