ARMENIA PRESENTS TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS ON CONSTRUCTION OF NORTH-SOUTH TRANSPORT CORRIDOR TO INVESTORS

YEREVAN, September 5. /ARKA/. Armenian Transport Ministry has presented
technical solutions on construction of the North-South transport
corridor to investors, the ministry~Rs press office reported on Monday.
In the past weekend, a conference focused on the construction was held
in Armenia. The conference came ahead of the tender for construction
of the first three sections of the transport corridor.
Representatives of concerned companies visited the sections subject
to reconstruction under this program.
On January 14, 2010, the Armenian government approved the investment
program on construction of the North-South transport corridor as well
as $500-million loan agreement between Armenia and Asian Development
Bank.
The first tranche, $70 million, is planned to be spent for
reconstruction of Yerevan-Ararat and Yerevan Ashtarak sections.
The second, $210-million tranche, will be targeted for rehabilitation
of Ashtarak-Talin section.
