HERITAGE PARTY LEADER MEETS WITH SCIENTISTS

The Board Chairman of the opposition party Heritage, Raffi Hovannisian,
and several party members held a meeting Tuesday with the initiators
of a Facebook group that demands to increase funding for science
in Armenia.
According to a press release by the party, the members of the group
came up with new proposals about increasing funding for science.
Those proposals, they said, they are going to submit to the National
Assembly too.
Representatives of Heritage welcomed the initiative and expressed
willingness to support them to bring their ideas true to life.
The party members also vowed to continue making efforts to increase
the financing of science up to 3% of the state budget.
The initiative, called "We Demand Increase of Financing", has posted
several specific proposals on its Facebook webpage aimed at the
raising the efficiency of mechanisms of funding of science.
