TBILISI. - Georgia must not lose its historic relations with its
neighboring countries as a result of the Armenian-Azerbaijani
conflict, said Georgian analyst Irakli Sesiashvili in an interview
with Tbiliselebi periodical.
In the analyst's words, Georgia needs to think about its future because
relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia should not deteriorate as
a result of any convenient arrangement.
"Today, Georgia must be neutral and that is very important, even though
I do not believe Azerbaijan would follow through on its declarations
and war would commence for NK," Sesiashvili noted, underscoring that
even if a conflict arises between Armenia and Georgia, the latter
will always favor peaceful resolution of the matter.
