ARMENIAN AMBASSADOR'S WORDS CRIPPLED IN AZERBAIJAN

    PanARMENIAN.Net - Charles Aznavour , Armenia's ambassador to
Switzerland, renowned singer's words were crippled by Turkish media.

Particularly, Aznavour mentioned that for facilitating dialogue with
Turkey and opening of the Armenian-Turkish border, Armenians need to
use a word other than Genocide, as reported by Turkish HaberTurk.

Moreover, due to such statements the singer faced criticism by the
French-Armenian community," according to the agency.

However, the shorthand record of the conversation with a French TV
journalist makes the singer's intention clear. To the journalist's
question Aznavour noted that the word Genocide makes him uneasy. If
this word embarrasses the Turks, it can be replaced with another word
for establishing relationships with them. According to the ambassador
it is not the word that is going to assess the tragedy. "The fact
remains, that Turks wanted to massacre Armenians."

Commenting on Turkish Government's denial policy, Aznavour noted that
it is rather a matter of honor which will be sullied after recognizing
    the fact.

Media spread reports that Charles Aznavour called on replacing the
word Genocide, with it hampering the establishment of good neighborly
relations. He also expressed wish to visit Turkey noting that they
    are a good nation.
