YOUNG ARMENIAN MUSICIANS NEED OPPORTUNITIES
Tert.am
17:22 08.09.11
On September 14, at the State Opera in Yerevan, the favorite performers
of Armenian songs will perform the composer Aram Satyan's works
created in different years.
At his Sept 8. meeting with journalists, the composer said that, after
giving his last concert in 1997, he decided to organize concerts once
a decade. However, organizing a concert in Armenia is "an expensive
treat." It is only this year that, with the sponsorship of Armenia's
Ministry of Health, he has been able to organize a concert.
In the first part of the concert, the well-known variety performers
will sing Aram Satyan's well-known compositions. The second part will
prove a surprise for lovers of classical music. The will listen to
parts of the pop operas Aram Satyan has composed over the recent years.
Speaking of the young generation, the composer noted that "we have
brilliant performers, who, however, are better known abroad than
in Armenia." "Our young people have a taste and mastery. They are
often invited to prestigious competitions and win the first and
second places, but we do not even know about it. Afford our young
people opportunities to create, and they will show themselves,"
the composer said.
