"ARMENIAN FESTIVAL IN ZURICH" DEDICATED TO 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF ARMENIA'S INDEPENDENCE

"Armenian Festival in Zurich" took place in the Swiss town of
Zurich August 26-27 dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Armenia's
independence. With the assistance of the RA Ministry of Culture
Yerevan State Pantomime Theatre, "Armenoids" music project, artists
Agnes Avagyan and Mary Wotcher partook in the event. The event was
organized by the Switzerland-based Alina Schteily-Hambardzumyan,
Armenian community of Zurich and RA embassy to Switzerland.
"It was really a splendid opportunity to present Armenian national
and contemporary theatrical and music art and a good prospect of
implementation of new programs of cultural cooperation", art director
of the State Pantomime Theatre Zhirayr Dadasyan told a news conference
today.
The spectators of the "Armenian Festival in Zurich" were not only
residents of Switzerland but the art loving community from France
and Germany.
