ARMENIAN PRESIDENT RECEIVES FRENCH MINISTER OF TRANSPORT

President Serzh Sargsyan received today French Minister of Transport
Thierry Mariani.
The president stressed that expansion of friendly ties with France
occupies a unique place in Armenia's foreign policy agenda, and
conditioned it by many centuries' Armenian-French relations, mutual
sympathy between the two peoples, thick Armenian community in France
and outstanding role of France in international area, presidential
press service told Armenpress.
Serzh Sargsyan also attached importance to the fact that France is one
of the co-chair countries of the OSCE Minsk Group, which is engaged
in settlement of Karabakh conflict.
The head of the republic expressed gratitude to Thierry Mariani for
pro-Armenian activity.
At the meeting both parties stressed that the upcoming mutual visits
of the Armenian and French Presidents will be important for expansion
and strengthening of bilateral relations.
