"ARMENIA EXPO 2011" UNIVERSAL REGIONAL TRADE-INDUSTRIAL EXHIBITION OPENS

Three-day "Armenia EXPO 2011" universal regional trade-industrial
exhibition forum opened today at Karen Demirthcyan sport and concert
complex. President Serzh Sargsyan attended the opening event. This
year the exhibition is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Armenia's
independence and the main accent is put on showing the potential of
local manufacturer and on summing up the economic achievements during
the 20 years of country's independence. The president toured in the
pavilions, got acquainted with the presented products.
Representative of the "LOGOS EXPO Center" Narek Petrosyan said
for already 11 years the exhibition gathers a number of local and
international companies. He said from year to year the geography
of the participating countries increases which proves the interest
toward the Armenian market. Companies from Georgia, Iran, European
and Asian countries are actively participating in the exhibition.
This year the territory of the exhibition is 1800 square meters,
the number of participants exceeds 180. Artsakh's pavilion is also
officially presented and introduces its economic achievements.
"Every year this exhibition gives wide opportunity to the participant
countries present new technologies, systems as well as new solutions
in the different branches of industry", Petrosyan said, stressing that
the goal of the exhibition is to find new markets, attract foreign
investments to Armenia's economy.
Chairman of the Union of Armenian Manufacturers and Businessmen Arsen
Ghazaryan said the exhibition presents the results of economy of
20-year old Armenia. "It sums up the achievements of local producers,
figures of our companies in competitive market. It shows that we
have overcome the economic crisis and registered stable development",
Ghazaryan said.
The exhibition forum includes 9 parallel exhibitions - "Industrial
Armenia EXPO 2011", "Construction EXPO 2011", "Trans EXPO 2011",
"Comp EXPO 2011", "Polygraph: Printing: Advertisement EXPO 2011",
"Furniture EXPO 2011", etc.
