17:06 - 10.09.11
Spokesperson for the ruling Republican Party of Armenia has dismissed
allegations the party considers the issue of offering former chief of
staff of presidential administration a position in the government.
`During yesterday's RPA board meeting no staff issue related to Karen
Karapetyan was discussed,' said Eduard Sharmazanov.
`As what concerns your next question related to the shifting of prime
minister, I should mention that the RPA did not discuss shifting the
prime minister,' assured Sharmazanov.
It comes after Chief of Staff of the presidential administration Karen
Karapetyan submitted a resignation letter which was confirmed by the
president.
Karapetyan's responsibilities will be assumed by his deputy Vigen Sargsyan.
