Armenia, Poland to expand military-technical cooperation

During the visit to Poland September 7-9 Armenian Defense Minister
Seyran Ohanyan had meetings with Poland's Minister for National
Defense Tomasz Siemoniak, Foreign Minister Rodislav Sikorski, Head of
the National Security Bureau StanisÅ?aw Koziej and Chairman of the
Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defense Stanislaw WziÄ...tek.
The perspectives of expansion of Armenian-Polish relations were
discussed the meetings, Reference was made to the process of
settlement of the Karabakh issue, the activity of the International
Security Force in Afghanistan.
The parties agreed to sign an agreement on military-technical
cooperation between Armenia and Poland, as well as the cooperation in
the field of military education.
During the visit to Poland Seyran Ohanyan met with representatives of
the local Armenian community. The Minister presented the problems
existing in the Armenian Armed Forces and the development programs,
the situation at the line of contact between the Armenian and
Azerbaijani armed forces, the security challenges facing Armenia.
