THE ISSUE OF ESTABLISHING AN INSTITUTE OF MILITARY OMBUDSMAN IS RIPE IN ARMENIA

Yerevan/Mediamax/. Today, the Director of the Center for National and
International Studies, Richard Kirakossian, suggested the Armenian
Defense Ministry establishing the institute of a Military Ombudsman.
Richard Kirakossian said this during the discussion on "Situation in
the Armenian army", Mediamax reports.
According to the expert, the establishment of this structure will
allow not only controlling the sphere but also ensuring the solution
of urgent problems at a higher level.
Richard Kirakossian also suggested that the Ministry of Defense
create a new mechanism within the armed forces - an institute of
staff retraining, particularly the officers, as well as adopt a
disciplinary code.
