ARMENIA TO HAVE MPS DEALING ONLY WITH LEGISLATURE - MP

YEREVAN. - There are many inaccuracies in the list of businessmen MPs
presented by oppositional Armenian National Congress (ANC), ruling
Republican Party MP Gagik Melikyan told the journalists on Wednesday.
"For example, ANC said as if I own a farm. I have no such a farm,
but if they gave me one, I would accept it with pleasure," Melikyan
said and added that there will be time when MPs will only deal with
legislature.
In response to the report whether it means that not all MPs run
legislative activity, the MP said that everybody is aware of it.
During the dialogue with authorities ANC claimed that snap
parliamentary and presidential elections are essential and that
current parliament is illegitimate. The opposition stressed that 76
out of 131 Armenian MPs violate the Constitution and are directly
involved in their businesses.
