AZERBAIJAN CALLS ON ARMENIA TO ABANDON ILLEGAL DESTRUCTIVE STEPS

Baku, Fineko/abc.az. The Armenian mass media announced the intention
to conduct "elections" in municipalities of domicile in the occupied
territories of Azerbaijan on 18 September.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan has made a statement that
these "elections" are aimed to cover the occupation policy of Armenia
and strengthen the results of Armenian occupation in Azerbaijani
territories. Illegal structure in the form of self-proclaimed regime
on occupied territories of Azerbaijan was created as a result of the
policy of ethnic cleansing of the Azerbaijani community in the region.
Azerbaijan called Armenia to stop illegal destructive steps having no
prospects and instead to demonstrate good intentions and constructive
position in settlement of the Garabagh conflict in accordance with
international legal norms and principles.
