A Karabakh war participant has suggested to gradually reducing the
duration of mandatory military service in the army down to 12 months.

In a status on his Facebook page, Zhirayr Sefilian, Head of the
Sardarapat movement and former commander of the Shoushi Special
Regiment, also attached importance to correct policy in terms of
personnel in the army in an attempt to eradicate corruption.

"The fight against corruption can be started just from the army and
then pass on to other power-holding agencies," wrote Sefilian.

"Luxurious cars of the military are unacceptable when significant
parts of the people are in poverty," he added.

Further, he said that in order to eliminate corruption in the army
it would be enough for the high-ranking personnel to strictly forbid
it and be consistent in its anti-corruption efforts.

the personnel in the army where apart from professional knowledge,
