On the 57th birthday of assassinated Turkish-Armenian journalist Hrant
Dink, the hate discourse that laid the foundation for his murder was
highlighted. CHP Malatya Deputy Veli AÄ?baba made a statement that was
not covered in the media properly. He wanted the `hate crime' law to
be passed as soon as possible to prevent further murders. The CHP is
preparing a draft on the issue and is likely to contact the Justice
and Development Party, or AKP. The AKP wing is also sending warm
messages on this issue. If the Peace and Democracy Party, or BDP and
the Nationalist Movement Party, or MHP also supports the issue, then
Parliament can start the new term with a meaningful draft
