September 17, 2011 | 22:25
MOSCOW. - Russian-Armenian relations remain key factor for development
of Armenian economy and Armenian society, said political scientist
Andrei Areshev at Moscow-based event on 20th anniversary of Armenia's
independence.
`The history suggests that Russian-Armenian relations have been
fundamental in critical and fateful times. I believe that despite of
all twists and turns of the fate that we overcame and that will still
challenge us in the future, Russian-Armenian relations are a factor
that is difficult to oppose,' he said.
Areshev mentioned that Armenia and Karabakh did not merely survive,
they find enough strength to develop and sustain the national security
on a due level despite the harsh circumstances and blockade.
