Sarkozy to discuss Karabakh conflict in South Caucasus - Azeri expert

In the course of his tour to the South Caucasus region, French
President Nicolas Sarkozy will conduct serious negotiations over
regional conflicts, according to an Azerbaijani expert.
Speaking of Sarkozy's upcoming visit to the South Caucasus, Mubariz
Ahmedoglu has said that that the framework of his working discussions
will cover, among other issues, the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. He said
the French leader would make a statement on regional conflicts on
behalf of France, European Union and the United States.
He noted further that the discussions would focus on large-scale
economic projects as well.
`Jacque Chirak was planning economic programs with Armenia, but the
French became doubtful that Armenia supports solely Russia's
interests. Sarkozy will attempt to oust Russia from Armenia's economy
and realize the old projects,' the Azerbaijani analyst said.
Sarkozy will be on a regional visit to the South Caucasus between
October 6 and 7.
