Ahmadinejad calls for bolstering ties with Armenia

    12:10 - 18.09.11

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad asked for the development of
relations between Tehran and Yerevan, Fars News Agency reported.

Ahmadinejad has stressed that his country sees no impediment to the
expansion of its relations with Armenia.

Speaking at a meeting with Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian
in Tehran on Saturday, the Iranian leader said the two countries enjoy
abundant capacities for bolstering their relations, specially in
    trade.

"Trade with neighbors is always the best (form of) trade, which is
beneficial both to the establishment and promotion of security, peace
and friendship and to the regional countries," he was quoted as
    saying.

The president further asked for a prompt expansion of relations and
cooperation with Armenia, reiterating that Iran considers no limits on
    its relations with Armenia.

Alluding to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Ahmadinejad said Iran is
keen to see the world nations live in justice and amity, and if there
is any difference in opinions, it should be resolved through dialogue.
