Yerevan /Mediamax/. Director of the Center for Regional Studies,
Richard Giragosyan, thinks that out of all international organizations,
Armenia's positions in the United Nations are the weakest.
Addressing a press conference in Yerevan today, he noted that the issue
of recognition of the Palestinian state and issues of new independent
states, particularly South Sudan and Kosovo, will be discussed during
the upcoming session of the UN General Assembly.
However, there will be no discussions and resolutions on Nagorno
Karabakh.
"This is the fault of Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh," the expert said.
According to him, Armenia should be more active in the UN and
"challenge the initiatives of Azerbaijan."
