YEREVAN. - Armenia and Diaspora have five major issues to solve:
strengthening Armenian state, self-determination and recognition of
Nagorno-Karabakh, recognition and condemnation of the Armenian
Genocide, struggle against assimilation of the Diaspora,
and strengthening connection to the Armenian Apostolic Church
(AAC). These are issues that need the unity of Armenia and Diaspora
for the solution, Armenian Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan said
at the meeting of Armenia-Diaspora on Monday.

To solve those issues first priorities should be set. Armenians should
gather together 7 million world-spread Armenians and set new mode of
relations. Armenia is the homeland of each Armenian and all of them
should contribute to state's prosperity and development. Diaspora
should be integrated to those societies where they live, while at
the same time preserve their identity.

Diaspora except philanthropy should also make investments and get
profit. Investments will partially solve the issue of migration and
    joblessness, the minister stated.

The Ministry of Diaspora elaborates projects of cooperation with
Diaspora taking into account the peculiarities of each region.

Meanwhile, Armenia should support Diaspora by preserving the language
and culture. AAC also has a great role in the preservation of Armenian
    Diaspora, Hakobyan added.

In contrast to the migration, Armenia has also registered immigration.

Particularly, 600 families returned to homeland from Diaspora during
    the last three years.
