IRAN'S PRESIDENT EXTENDS CONGRATULATIONS ON ARMENIA'S INDEPENDENCE DAY

President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad
congratulated Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan on the occasion of
the 20th anniversary of independence. The message reads, in part:
"I want to extend my warmest congratulations to Your Excellency and
the government and people of friendly Armenia on the occasion of the
20th anniversary of the Republic of Armenia. The historical-cultural
ties between Iran and Armenia have opened broad opportunities for
the reinforcement of bilateral cooperation.
I'm confident that the agreements signed in Yerevan and Tehran will
create favorable conditions for the expansion of cooperation between
the two countries in bilateral format, as well as on the regional
and international level."
The Iranian President wished good health and success to President
Serzh Sargsyan, and wellbeing and happiness to the Armenian government
and people.
