An event related to Nagorno-Karabakh held in the House of
Representatives by pro-Armenian forces does not reflect official
stance of the US.
The United States has announced it recognizes Azerbaijan~Rs territorial
integrity numerous times.
The remarks came from Vice Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament
Bahar Muradova in her interview with the ruling party website.
The fact that the leadership of the US Congress House of
Representatives takes pro-Armenian stance is nothing new, Muradova
said.
Not only Nagorno-Karabakh, but also the so-called ~SArmenian genocide~T
has been tabled on numerous occasions here, she added.
'This is a result of efforts of the Armenian diaspora and forces
serving Armenia~Rs interests.'
'They want this issue to stand on agenda constantly. And sometimes
they succeed in holding similar events. But it does not mean that
views voiced in these events reflect official stance of the United
States. We should not get discouraged and should go ahead with our
efforts because justice and international legal principles are on
our side,' the Vice-Speaker noted.
'If the US, as a super power, wants international legal principles
to dominate and puts forward its stance in this regard, its actions
should meet its words. We need to work with each of the members of
the House of Representatives. Our diplomats, politicians, NGOs and
diaspora should work consistently in this direction,' Muradova stated.
