OSCE PARLIAMENTARY ASSEMBLY TO DISCUSS KARABAKH CONFLICT

The OSCE's role in resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will be
discussed at the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly's autumn meetings.
Bahar Muradova, deputy speaker of the Milli Majlis, said the hearings
would take place on 8 October, ANS PRESS reported.
The special debate on "The Role of the OSCE in Conflict Resolution:
Nagorno-Karabakh" will be moderated by the newly appointed special
representative on the South Caucasus, OSCE Parliamentary Assembly
President Emeritus Joao Soares.
Keynote speakers for the debate include the co-chairs of the OSCE
Minsk Group (Robert Bradtke of the USA, Igor Popov of Russia and
Bernard Fassier of France) and the personal representative of the
OSCE chairperson-in-office, Andrzej Kasprzyk.
Azerbaijan's view of the local elections held in separatist Karabakh
will also be voiced during the session, Muradova said.
The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly's Autumn Meetings are to be held in
Dubrovnik, Croatia, on 7-10 October.
