Armenia needs to re-establish civil independent in the country,
Chief Editor of the local daily Haykakan Zhamanak has said
Speaking at a reception organized by the opposition alliance Armenian
National Congress on the occasion of Independence Day, Nikol Pashinyan
said that they will spare no efforts in their fight.
"Today, we must re-establish Armenia's civil independence," said he.
"We have gathered here to look at each other and say that no one will
stop us on that way; nothing will stop us."
"And we will fight so long until each family lays a table on the
occasion of independence on September 21," said he.
Nikol Pashinyan was released this May after serving his sentence
for organizing mass events during the 2008 post-election unrest that
claimed at least ten lives.
Further, Pashinyan said that the Armenian citizens have one home. "And
that home is the Liberty Square from where that holiday must be taken
to the families of each citizen of the Republic of Armenia," said he.
