Armenia will receive state-of-the-art equipment and methodology for
applying nuclear technologies in oncology.
This is what member of the Armenian delegation to MAGATE Ashot
Martirosyan said at the MAGATE sitting in Vienna.
According to him, MAGATE's sitting was devoted to not only nuclear
energy security issues, but also discussions on using nuclear
technologies in healthcare, particularly the treatment of cancers.
"In response to the request of the RA Ministry of Health, MAGATE has
given consent to include Armenia in the existing pact. As a result,
Armenia will have the opportunity to take advantage of the innovations
in this sphere," said Mr. Martirosyan.
RA Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Armen Movsisyan, his
deputy, other ministry officials and employees of the Armenian
Atomic Energy Station participated in the 55th MAGATE sitting held
on September 19-23.
