Azerbaijan
'Azerbaijan has high-level relations with all Muslim countries and
Saudi Arabia'.
Chairman of the Azerbaijan's State Committee for Work with Religious
Associations Hidayat Orujov met with Saudi Arabian Under Secretary
of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Da'wah and Guidance
Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah Al-Ammar and Saudi Ambassador to Azerbaijan
Fahad bin Ali Al-Dawsari, press service of the State Committee said.
Orujov said Azerbaijan has high-level relations with all Muslim
countries and Saudi Arabia, which is a center of our religion, has
a special status in these relations because.
Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah Al-Ammar expressed satisfaction with the
friendly and brotherly relations and said the conflicts within the
Islamic world were caused by the case when one side considered itself
fair and opposite side as outsider of the religion.
'It is not correct to call the person, who prays towards Kaaba and
recognizes Allah as the only God, a non-Muslim. This is one of the
main principles of Islam'.
Hidayat Orujov noted that the Islamic world needs in unity today. He
reminded that Armenians occupied Azerbaijani lands for 20 years and
four resolutions of the UN Security Council have not been fulfilled
yet.
'Armenian vandals destroyed tombs, mosques, all Islamic shrines in
the occupied territories and it is strange that all of these vandalism
acts were committed in the end of 20th and beginning of 21st centuries
before the eyes of the countries, which speak about the civilization
and justice and don't call the aggressors with their name'.
Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah Al-Ammar said Saudi Arabia has unchanged
and univocal position on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. He said the
occupied territories of Azerbaijan must be liberated unconditionally
because it is a right of Azerbaijan and truth will triumph".
