Erdogan Would Like Turkish to be a UN Official Language

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan asked United Nations
Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to make Istanbul a UN center in a
meeting he held with the Secretary General on Thursday, Anadolu Ajansi
reports.
Erdogan told Ban Ki-moon that Turkey desired to see the Turkish
language as an official language of the UN. Ban Ki-moon replied by
saying this was an issue to be decided by UN member states.
