Web platform for Armenian farmers to sell directly to customers

National Cooperation Network (NCN) portal is building a website for
Armenian farmers (farmers.am), the NCN Executive Director Arshak
Sadoyan has said.
Speaking to Tert.am, he said around 200,000 farming businesses are
expected to be registered on this website that will be built on the
NCN's portal, with each having its website and a possibility to
represent their programs and experience.
According to him, the main goal of this website is to ensure a direct
communication between farmers and consumers so that the farmers will
avoid selling their produces to consumers through intermediaries.
The NCN portal is also planning to design websites for companies
producing and processing agricultural products so that they will also
be able to directly supply their products to buyers.
"We hope that the opportunities to be created in the website will to
some extent contribute to decreasing the prices of agricultural
products and foodstuffs, therefore to the improvement of peoples'
social conditions.
