Head of Armenian football federation denied information of Russian media

YEREVAN. - The head of Armenian Football Federation Ruben Hayrapetyan
denied Russian media reports that an Armenian club intends to
participate in the championship of Russia.
``In the event of such discussion, I would be the first to make it
public,'' said Hayrapetyan to a press conference on Friday.
In early September Russian media reported that in a short time the
number of clubs in Russian championship may increase due to joining of
an Armenian club.
President of Russian Football Union Sergei Fursenko and President of
Football Federation of Armenia Ruben Hayrapetyan were said to be
actively engaged in secret negotiations on the inclusion of the
Transcaucasian team in the Russian championship.
