Azerbaijani deputy FM dissatisfied with OSCE MG on Karabakh

    September 24, 2011 | 19:54

BAKU. - Settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh negotiation process is
currently stagnated, Azerbaijani deputy FM Araz Azimov said on
Saturday at the international conference dedicated to the 20th
    anniversary of Azerbaijan's independence.

`OSCE Minsk group co-chairs and representatives of other international
organizations will try to do something. However, I personally believe
that they will choose an easier way, while their opportunities are
    also limited,' Azimov stated.

According to Azimov, Karabakh conflict should not be taken separately
but as a part of South Caucasus strategy. It is not a local conflict
    between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

On geopolitical point of view, territorial integrity of Azerbaijan is
significant for the international security. After the Kazan meeting,
none of the sides registered step forward on Karabakh conflict
settlement. OSCE MG co-chairs should understand that the changes are
to come from the Armenian side, Azimov stressed.

At the same time, Azerbaijan initiated arms race, enlarging its
military budget. Azerbaijani side put new conditions forward in the
Kazan meeting. Thus, Azerbaijan eliminated all possibilities to
    register progress in the meeting.
