Armenia's police are going to take new measures to reveal a suspected
gang ring allegedly standing behind the recent series of robberies in
Yerevan.
Speaking to Tert.am, Ashot Aharonyan, head of the police press
service, said that the case within which the police raided and
arrested 13 people on Friday is under investigation to find their
participation or role in the robberies.
The police raid resulted in the death of one of those chased.
Asked whether any one of those arrested has been released, Aharonyan
refused to answer, adding that once it has new details over the case
the police will inform the public about it.
Aharonyan further dismissed reports that the son of a high-ranking
official is also among those arrested.
The Prosecutor General's Office denied providing details over the fate
