Haykakan Zhamanak: Georgia bans arms shipments to Armenia
10:50 - 24.09.11
The paper claims that Armenia and Georgia are set to face a scandal
against the backdrop of the recent developments.
According to the paper, the point is that Georgia's President Mikheil
Saakashvili did not congratulate Sargsyan on the occasion of Armenia's
Independence Day, while even Turkish President Abdullah Gul sent a
congratulatory message.
Further, it says that the supplies of the Russian natural gas were
suspended recently, adding that against the backdrop of the existing
situation the official explanations that the suspension of supplies is
a technical issue look less credible.
The paper also says that it is a long time since Georgia banned arms
shipments from Russia to Armenia via its territory.
