ARMENIA'S SECOND PRESIDENT TO RETURN TO BIG POLITICS - POLITICIAN

YEREVAN. - Second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan will return
to big politics, said People's Party leader Tigran Karapetyan at a
press conference on Monday.
"We already have an example. If Levon Ter-Petrosyan returned, why
wouldn't Robert Kocharyan? There is a struggle between the presidents,
people will support the strongest. In this regard, I do not rule out
the return of Kocharyan," said Karapetyan.
Armenian MP from ruling Republican Party of Armenia Artak Zakaryan
said he finds it wrong to comment on statements based on "if".
"I would comment on the issue if Mr. Kocharyan himself made any
statement about his return to active politics. Each politician has
definitely his own approach to political processes and recently the
second president voiced his position through various interviews. That
is not to say he is not completely out of politics," said Zakaryan,
adding that it is too early to speak of Kocharyan's return.
Robert Kocharyan was the president of Armenia from 1998 to 2008.
