Armenia
Yerevan/Mediamax/. Caucasus Institute Director Alexander Iskandaryan
considers comparison of the second Armenian President Robert Kocharyan
and Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin inappropriate.
The political scientist said this answering the question whether it
is possible that the former Armenian President follow Putin's example
and nominate his candidacy for the post of President, Mediamax reports.
"It's not ruled out that Robert Kocharyan will return and nominate
his candidacy but one shouldn't draw parallels with Putin's example
in this case. The latter is currently holding the positions of Prime
Minister, is the leader of the ruling party and has big economic
weight", he said.
According to him, Robert Kocharyan should use other levers for coming
back to power as he is not the leader of the ruling party.
