INTERNATIONAL COMPANIES INTEREST IN INVESTING IN YEREVAN

Representatives of international companies have expressed interest
to make business in Yerevan, according to the website of the Yerevan
Municipality.
At a meeting with Yerevan Mayor Karen Karapetyan, Jean Paul Filia,
the international director of the hypermarket network Ashan Group,
said Yerevan is of business interest for their company which would
like to implement large-scale investment programs here.
Representatives of Al Hokair Group, a well-known trade company,
also expressed interest in doing business in Yerevan, adding they
are currently discussing a joint business program with Tashir Group.
The company's director, Simon Marshal, said that by offering
affordable prices and world-known brands to Yerevan, the company sees
a possibility of making its own contribution to the development of
trade and infrastructure in Yerevan.
Yerevan Mayor Karen Karapetyan, in turn, said that Yerevan has all
the prerequisites to become a regional trade center in the near future.
