HRAPARAK: ONE MORE POLICE OFFICIAL TO BE SACKED

The Internal Security Department, Police of Armenia, has lately
conducted inspections at the escort battalion of Armenia's traffic
police and revealed blatant violations.
The newspaper reports that officers of the battalion were often
allowed to "do business in the streets." Of course, it was not done
"free." Inspections revealed the amount and purpose of "taxes."
Commander of the battalion Artak Karapetyan is expected to be relieved
of his post.
