Residents on Teryan Street 62 say 16 trees were illegally cut in
their yard. Concerned about what happened, the residents immediately
appealed to the mayor of Yerevan and the police, and the corresponding
bodies have registered it.
The Young Biologists Association NGO has appealed with the following
request by taking into account Mayor of Yerevan Karen Karapetyan's
policy on the inadmissibility of building structures at the price of
green areas in Yerevan.
The Young Biologists Association NGO appeals to Mayor of Yerevan, Mr.
Karen Karapetyan with the request to reveal and punish the culprits as
soon as possible. To disperse the sense of impunity among the people
who cut the trees, we ask the mayor to express the municipality's
position on possible construction of a structure in that area."
Attached to the letter are photos showing the process.
